18" 1999 Lightning Replicas on a 73-79

I was wondering if this had been done and if there are pictures. www.wheelreplicas.com sells a 18x9.5 in a 5-5.5" lug.

I was wondering what issues I might run into becides the braking problems that might occur do to the size wheels?

I was planning on running a 285-50-18 tire which is 1.1" taller than the factory 235-75-15.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks I appreciate it. I just wanted a newer 17-18" wheel something that's not so flashy. I like the look of the 99 wheels too. I think they would look good on the mid 70's body too.

Good luck with yours...

Matt

The offset on these things is wrong for our 70's trucks. You need a NEGATIVE offset (3"-4"). Otherwise, they would look great (albeit expensive).
