How can I tell if it's Mod'd?

I just traded my 99 2WD PSD for a 2002 Lariat 4X4 7.3 supercab. I LOVE it and it runs so much stronger that I am thinking the prior owner had some mods.......the exhaust looks alot bigger and there is no Cat converter......How can I tell if it has a chip or programmer of some sort? Srry for the dumb questions.....The prior owner had all kind of nifty Idle elevator, remote start alarm, $$$ stereo system, etc.......I am sure he modified the exhaust but I really can't tell?

A way to tell is to go down below where the pedals are and see if anything is plugged in to the diagnostics port...if it doesnt have a programmer then it shouldn't have anything plugged into it

if the exhaust is bigger than 3.5" around, its aftermarket, that truck didnt come with a cat. as far as a chip, look at the pcm to see if has a chip, if it had a programmer, hopefully it is still with the truck

I will check the PCM......as far as the exhaust goes it is for sure bigger than 3.5 I have noticed that the turbo spools up quicker and is more high pitched than my old truck. That would explain the exhaust i guess.

If there is noticable turbo whine, i would expect exhaust. Also, check under the hood for an intake.

I second that, check the intake for a cone filter rather then the stock leaky airbox
