Adam,
One of my friends recently underwent the task of turbocharging his 300-6 in his 89 F150.
It runs really well, and will outpull most any 351W truck. Besides the lack of MAF capabilities, his only real drawback now is the hokey fuel pressure regulator that we put on it (a rheostat from a headlight switch to limit current to the fuel pump). Granted, it does run well, and I feel that his efforts were worth it.

He's got some pictures of it somewhere. He recently changed his website (I can't remember what it is). Hopefully he chimes in and puts up some shots.
