i was running it on my 97, went to a modified H2E though needed more air the gtp38r wasnt able to clean up the smoke of the injectors im running. for a injector under 200cc the gtp works awesome faster response, flows about 30% more air than stock sounds awesome on a strait piped open intake truck. if i was still running smaller injectors i would still have that turbo on my truck i have a buddy that has that turbo on his truck now with stock injectors, just open intake and exaust and a chip and he loves it.

jake, I thought the stock OBS injectors were around 80cc and the new SD split shots were 120cc????
I assume because the GPT38R flows 30% more that one would expect an increase in boost also?? did you experience this??? I am stuck at 20* with the TS chip and want more, but dont want to have to reburn my chip, just looking for options.

444 yeah your right its the SD splits that i was thinking on the 120#
i didnt actually see a change in max boost levels, it came on much much quicker
its able to flow the larger volume of air in a broader powerband.
have you shimmed your fuel reg on your truck? i was able to easily get into the 20's with no chip just the clamp mod. im wondering if your fuel pump is getting weak and your not getting enough fuel in the top end.

No, I haven't shim the regulator, Both trucks maxed out at 16* stock trim, the '97 with the TS chip maxes at 21* but you really have to hold it a long time in third, or be goin 100 MPH, the '96 maxes at 19* with a Jody tipton flashed PCM, 75HP tune on it. the '97 could get 22* out of the same PCM. at idle both had 55* of fuel pressure, so I could be running out of fuel, I have never checked it at 3K, and have no way to check it while driving.
The '97 is down for Turbo pedistal O-rings, and prolly injector O-rings so I might as well shim it while I am there.
