Hi all,
I have a '87 F350 Crew with some 180,000 miles. I've had to rebuild the driveshaft due to neglect from previous owner(s). One of the wearing items is the yoke/shaft at the front of the drive shaft that slides into the transfer case. (not the spline shaft on the transfer case itself,but the female end that is on the driveshaft) This has deep scoring on the outside of the shaft where it rides against the sleeve bearing in the end of the transfer case neck. I already have the new yoke/shaft but don't want to put it in without repairing the bush/bearing. Is the bush/sleeve bearing replaceable??? Or do I need to buy a complete neck? Any other thoughts from experience helpfull.

Tony , You can buy the tailshaft from Ford . Im pretty sure thats the only way to purchase it . All is houses is the seal . They will leak quite a bit if they are worn & since you have a new yoke on the driveshaft its best to replace the tailshaft on the transfer case . Its easy to replace , just 5 or 6 Torx bolts & the speedometer mounts in it too I believe . Youll have to seal the new tailshaft with the Black RTV .
