My passenger rear door lock stoped working the other week. I am thinking about bringing it to the dealer (I have an extented warranty w/$50 deductable), but if it is really easy to do myself I may try it. I can get the part for $38.97 on line.
I'm not sure, but I think there's a TSB on it.
If you can get them to replace all of them go with the deductable.

Just had a friend check out CQIS for me. No TSB's/SSM's for the lock's. I wonder if they will replace them all if I go in to the dealer and tell them that at any time they all work intermittantly?.
It's worth a shot.
At first, one of the rear doors sometimes wouldn't throw.
Then sometimes none of the doors would throw. Wait 5mins. and then they would work.
Eventually it got to where we either didn't lock up or just used the key and reached over and unlocked by hand.
IMHO you should do all of them if you have to do any one.

Reason: grammer
Well, I dropped the access panel and the garbage bag hook access and no avail. My 01 X does not have the control box in the same place as the 02 earlier spoken about. Guess I have no choice but go to the dealer some day to get my keypad access numbers.

Hopfully they won't charge you much. With the right scan tool it will literally take a tech about 5 minutes to pull the code.
