I bought on line the Access Limited Edition Toneau Cover for 450.00 including shipping and I like it. I havent had a problem with it. Easy Assembly with 2 wrenches or ratchets in about 30 minutes. It rolls up all nice and snug to the bed and has velcro instead of snaps. With the exception of someone cutting through it, it locks along with my bed lock and my stuff is pretty secure. As far as dryness, Keeps stuff pretty dry ( I guess a bit more if I would have gotten the weather stripping along with it). But it all depends on what you want it to look like, and how you want it to roll up and stuff. Just do a search on Tonneau covers, and decide on price and looks. hope this helps... RAT

A couple of places to check are JC Whitney I have bought a ton of things from them and they are good on price and quality. I got one with the velco as well but you could get the snaps, especially if you are not somewhere were it gets real cold. They are a pain to snap if it is cold.

I have an '03 short bed with an EXTANG soft cover. It has 3 aluminum bows. The frame mounts to the side rails with c clamp like mounts, so there are no holes drilled. I love it. It was on the truck when I bought it, so I can't say how much it was, but here is the link to the site. www.extang.com

Here is a link to some pics I took of the cover and mounts.

got ours from zbart for $450. It just snaps on and that's it. It can be folded up to about 2 ft from the front if desired. can be just removed by one person.

I use Extang and cost me $230 and are satify with it on mine. My model is tufftonno and love the idea of no snap and covered it fast even in cold weather.

I bought my Truxedo from a local truck and aftermarket parts place called Hitches by George for 399.00. One thing I've grown quite fond of is that the cross supports are sewed into the cover itself which allows you to simply start from the back and roll the whole cover up towards the front of the truck. no bows to deal with and when rolled up, the roll only covers a few inches of the front of the bed. It allows storage with out costing bed space. No drilling, simple clamping system with with adjustments on both sides to allow for seasonal temperature changes. sorry, no pictures yet
good luck

In 1995 I purchased an Access Rollup vinyl cover. Best vehicle mod purchase / value ever for me. Here's the history:
  • Purchased for 1995 F-150 4x4 SC reg bed
  • Modified for 1997 F-150 SC 4x4 reg bed
  • Placed on 2000 F-150 SC 4x4 reg bed
  • Modified for 2002 F-150 SC 4x4 long bed with bed tool box
  • Modified for 2004 F-250 SC 4x4 long bed with bed tool box
10 years old, 5 trucks and the top still looks new. Original investment $ 400.00 in 1995 plus two trips to canvas shop at $ 75.00 each for modification. Replaced Velcro twice.

I have had 3 trucks...all Fords ofcourse... and I have had nothing but extang covers. My last two trucks have had the blac maxx style covers. These are sweet. All the hardware is black along with the frame and the snaps. Its real nice plus it has a great warantee with it and its available almost everywhere. If you cant find it refer to the previously posted website. Most importantly get what you like. It will look good no matter what its a Super Duty

This is a awsome cover. I have the low profile cover that mounts on the inside of bedrails with the cover staying within the bed box. The cover has a self tension feature that is great. You never get the sagging in hot weather. I like the fact that the sides of the cover have velcro. No tedious snapping and unsnapping of the cover. That velcro is tough stuff. I dive at 70 mph every day on the highway and the think never thinks about moving.

Best of all there is a dealer on ebay called supreme accessories that sells these $410-480 cover for a starting bid of $299. I got mine shipped to my do for $330. All the local shops wanted $480-$510. The cover get shipped direct to you from truxedo's warehouse. Very happy with the cover. I will have to get some pics up.
