A good mechanic in Anchorage

I'm moving to Anchorage next month from Fairbanks and need to find a good mechanic that I can take my aging F250 to who does good work and won't rip me off. I have been a die-hard patron of Goldpanner Chevron in Fairbanks the last five years, and have been beyond happy with them.

If anybody knows of any smaller shops kind of like Goldpanner in the Anchorage area who they know for a fact do good work, and aren't afraid to get to know both the truck and the person driving the truck, I would appreciate hearing about it. I'd rather take it to a smaller operation where they remember who you are then a big place where they don't really care one way or the other. Thanks.

P.S.--Yes I know I'm being picky about this, haha.

5-Star auto on Lake Otis has a good reputation. I plan to go there with the vehicles I don't work on.

Skips Auto, 279-9029. Skip's a great guy, my family's been dealing with him for years. Smaller shop with just him and a couple guys. He'll work on just about anything and will treat you fair. Cheaper than Big O's or some of the other bigger shops.

Arctic Auto and Truck on Arctic Blvd near the RR tracks. My dad (Joe) is their front end guy. Fred and Moe(the owners) are great guys as are all of the rest of the guys there. Arctic is truly one of the last honest shops around.
