Knock off their horns, wipe their butt, and herd them across the grill.

POUNCE on it, stick a knife in it to kill it.

Cut off the best piece you can see...

it's best when it is fresh
After that you have to be sure to cook it...

~Wolf

PS: Boar is a hard take-down. But a pig is a good meal....
I recommend inch and a quarter broadheads

LOL!!! I hear you brother. A steak over coals is a real treat also. I've just come to appreciate the Extreme HIGH heat to sear in the juices.

Ruth's Chris anyone???? 1800 degrees of pure heaven.

Medium-rare to rare, and blackened. I like them black on the outside, red on the inside. Ribeye is my favorite, dosen't matter what it is cooked on. As far as seasonings go, all I want on it is garlic and salt. Maranides and steak sauce ruin that good meat flavor.

Heard about the turbo mod for the Weber? I saw it somewhere, can't find it now. It is a hairdryer hooked to a length of pipe and blown around the coals. I can't remember the temp, but 1700 degrees rings a bell. I don't know how the grill doesn't melt On top of that, the lump 100% wood charcoal I use would give you just enough time cook the steak before it was all gone. Man, that stuff burns hot, but geez it burns fast, and it's expensive!

I have the "turbo mod" on my Weber.

I think they call it the Weber Chimney...
And yes it gets hot.

Just thought I would ask the question, anyone cooked thier steak on a hot engine?
I haven't, but I did a pork roast under the bonnet on a trip home from the shops (its a 2 hour drive) the other day...
Tasted good too...

Knock his horns off, wipe his but and slap him on a platter.
Nice ribeye or KC Strip seared to perfection over a hickory fire, mmmmm. YES I said KC Strip, its NOT a New York Strip.

It's called "Black & Blue" in some places.

Funny, I was eating a steak when I clicked this thread.
Does anyone here cook their steaks in a really hot cast iron skillet?
