Need help, new engine wont run
I just installed a new short block (351) in my van,, it ran for about 5 minutes and stopped and wont start. ECM tests good (1 + 1),,got fire to plugs, fuel pump makes noise when key is turned on... Help what do I check next?????????

The next step would be to do a cylinder leak down test to see where the compression is going. I don't have any of the fancy gauges. I just put the cylinder I want to test at top dead center and then just pressurize it with my air compressor. Then just listen for where the air is escaping. Listen at the tailpipe for suspected exhaust valve's, intake for intake vavles, and PCV or breather hose for ring problems. Good luck!

Do you have dual tanks, I've heard of it pumping from one tank to the other when you have a tank switch problem. You can open the bleeder valve on the injector rail and check for pressure, should spray out, so be careful. How long since the fuel filter was last changed?
