Wife says "Get rid of it"

To keep the peace, I am going to get rid of a parts truck- 84 F-150. I bought it for the rearend and a few little pieces.

The 302 is supposed to be good - she got parked and parted because reverse on the AOD tranny went out and most of the body parts have rust to mild rot (worthless).

Items of possible interest... carb'd 302 $50, AOD tranny- core or rebuild?, air conditioning system, dual tank setup, wide trim on bottom of two-tone paint, glass.

I don't need to get rich and I can help pull and load - I have a tractor

What do you need out of the tanks, I may be interested. I have a front, but not a rear.

I'm easy.... whatever is fair or if you have something to swap that I can use. Eventually, if I get the parts I need off and $100 for the rest my wife will forgive me for another truck!! I'd rather may friends than dicker prices.

Do you just need the tank or are you doing a conversion? I though the control switch with the a/c in it is kinda nice - most of my trucks didn't have air or dual tanks!

I already have duals, just wanted an extra on hand, and had been thinking about doing a veggie oil conversion, and need an extra tank to monkey with. I do need an extra fuel switch to be better able to isolate the veggie oil from the diesel tank.

Sorry - no radio. I've had 5 trucks and only 1 radio.... currently in my daily driver. It's the one with the AM/FM slide selector and pushbutton presets.... and it even needs cleaned for the presets to be accurate. Probably worth more for me to keep to listen to Bob and Tom on the way to work.

I'll look at the body parts, but I know there is rust and maybe some rot. I do have another truck tho... I'll check conditions and try to post tomorrow. Where you at Weldingfreak?

I had a couple days of work in Centerville about 12 years ago. Nice town. Is there still a motel out there... The Don Ellen?

For anyone interested, I have a 79 F250 2wd,3.54 rear, 400 C6 auto for sale, the only rust is on the box, abve the driver fenderwell, and back around the rear floor bolts, and a little on the rear pan on the box, absolutely none on the cab and front clip. I bought it with the intent of making it my hauler, then I got the 86 for a good price, and it was 4x, so I didn't finish the 79, and can't afford to license both, and insure and all that, so I am looking for someone to give it a good home. It's in too good of shape to leave it sitting around, it would ruin it to sit and wait for me now. If interested, email me for more info.
