I'm having problems removing the headlight switch handle to finish removing the dash. Any suggestions or help?

Reach on the back side of the **** with a small tool and find the spring steel latch inside the **** (with the battery disconnected and the switch on you can see the back side with a small mirror). One part of the spring can be depressed to allow the **** to come off the switch shaft.
