Post Convert pedestal-mount rockers to stud-mount on a 460

Hi guys. Does anyone know where I can download/read the procedures and specs for the machining and installation of stud-mounted rockers on a 77 Ford 460? My motor currently has non-adjustable, pedestal-mounted rockers.

Thanks in advance.

Crane makes a kit that will give you stud rockers wihout machining. The are adequate for mild performance in a street engine. If you are building an all out race engine and need to machine, drill and tap, your machine shop should be able to handle this operation if, of course, they have a mill and drill press.

Also, you might find more information on this in the 385 series forum.

Good luck,
Doc

I used that kit on a 71 351C years ago to run roller rockers. Worked great.

I used the kit on a 460 and liked the results also. I got the guides with the nylon bushings also. I put about 170,000 on them before the valves wore into the head and so I took them out to put on another engine.
