My Power Stroke Died.

My 1996 Wheeled Coach Ambulance has died. I have worked out of the same truck for the last 3 yrs and shes gone. She started spitting and sputtering and just died. The shop said it was the cam sensor and they replaced it. Then a week later it did the same thing. Shop couldnt figure it out. They started to tear down the engine and found huge amounts of diesel in the oil and also found water in the oil. Well anyways with only 180,000 miles on her she is gone. Probably gonna get her rechasied in a few months.

Have they figured out what happened to it yet? Will you post their findings if and when you do find out?

Sorry for your misfortune.

Brought it back from the shop today, ran great all the way back (about 40 miles). But there is diesel in the coolant, along with that in the oil. We arent even gonna figure out what happened. We are just gonna ship it off to Texas and have the box mounted on an 05. Yeah new ambulance and road trip. Guess its not all bad when someone else is footing the bill.

Probably gonna keep the old chassis for parts. The interior was just reapolstered (spelling sucks) and the engine has a ton of new parts on it right now. The tranny was rebuilt about 15,000 ago.
