2005 Ford Ranger FX4 Level II Specs

Hi all,

I am doing research for a computer game we are making here in the UK and wanted to know if any of you had the specification for a 1940 Ford Pickup 1/2 Ton? I am especially interested in anything that is not on the Ford website brake size, tyre size, 0-60, top speed, redline, gear ratios etc.

Whilst I am here I am also looking for the above info on the following cars:

1940 Ford Pickup 1/2 Ton
1970 Ford Ranchero GT 429
1971 Bronco 302 V8
2002 Ford Ranger SVT Lightning Bolt Concept
2004 Ford SVT Lightning Concept Truck
2004 Ford F-150 Lightning
2005 Ford F-150 FX4

If you don't know what might be helpful is directions to a website that might.

Many thanks for your time and I llok forward to your replies (if I get any).

Best regards
Alan

SVT Lightning Bolt

Engine
5.4L supercharged 2V V8 Triton engine (2002 Lightning 380hp/450lb.ft)

Trans
4R100 (2002 Lightning... soon to be "tweaked") with shortened Lightning drive shaft.

Axle
Narrowed 9 1/4 " Lightning axle with quad shock configuration and custom roll control bar (3.73:1 FDR)

Frame
Cross braced and boxed front to rear for torsional stiffness.

Exhaust
Masterfully fabricated equal length 4 into 1 headers w/ 3 " stainless exhaust and 3" Borla mufflers. (FYI...this guy makes Jack Roush's Winston Cup headers...)

Front suspension
2002 Lightning brakes and lower control arms with custom upper's for steering shaft and header clearance.

Front
2002 Lightning wheels narrowed to 8" with Michelin Pilot 235-50ZR18 tires.

Rear
2002 Lightning wheels widened to 12.5" with Michelin Pilot 345/35ZR18 tires.

Fuel system
13.5 gallon fuel cell and all stainless hardware with "Bullitt" Mustang fuel door on inside of bed. (production location fuel door removed for aesthetics)

Paint
Sonic Blue (available on 2002 Mustang and SVT Focus) with custom (yet subtle) Lightning Bolt graphics.

Interior
Standard Ranger buckets reskinned in black leather with Lightning Bolt logo and black leather wrapped steering wheel. Both courtesy of Katzkins Customs.

Many, many thanks for the reply. The info you have provided is a great help. One final question I have is are the dimensions of the Lightning Bolt the same as a standard 2002 Ranger?

I'm not sure if it's long or short bed but it was NOT an extended cab.

From what I can find the base truck was a black regular cab, style side 2.5-liter I4 automatic.

Yes it was sprayed Sonic Blue as part of its makeover. It was black when it came off the production line.

I make the regular 2002 Ranger Regular Cab, Style Side as 187.5" (length), 69.4" (width), 62.9" (height) and 112" (wheelbase). Are these dimensions right? I think the height would have changed due to the lowered suspension and the lower profile tyres.
