marine 460 with DO0E heads/intake

I'm minutes away from buying a 460 touted as a marine engine.
I have no clue what the specs on a marine 460 is, I'm waiting more info, but it does have CJ intake and heads.

does anybody have any info on marine 460s?

official marine engines generally has more nickel in with the cast iron, to resist corrosion from sea water being circulated through the block and heads. Boats generally don't have radiators and such, they suck nice cold water from what they are floating on, making for a cooler engine overall even though the engines have to work much harder, and sustain higher RPMs than gas engines since there isn't a transmission (or a 2-speed), depending on the configuration.

Also, because boat engines rev higher, typically the heads and intake flow a bit better, valves are sometimes larger, but that depends on the casting and stuff like that.

I'd personally have no problem using marine heads on a truck, its been done before. In fact, the twin-turbo stroker I'm building is using "industrial" heads... which have the EFI Intake ports, but the slightly heavier duty casting of the marine heads, which enabled me to port the snot out of them. I removed TONS of material in the ports without any worry of breaking through the casting.

Parts are parts. If it fits, enjoy
