Exclamation possible rear-end problem?

Well, i was lookin around underneath the pickup ('95 f150xlt 4x4) and noticed on the drivers side of the axel, where the pumkin housing meets the axel tube there is evidence of moisture, or a leak maybe. no driping, but the dirt is moist.

Whats the damage here, give it to me straight doc's.... And maybe a cure?

God bless the United States Marines

Leak @ Axle Tube on Rear Differential?

Is this the only area where moisture (lube) is evident, none around the pinion shaft? Clean it very well and inspect. IF, after you have cleaned it up and inspected, there is no seepage present, check your fluid level and drive it enough to warm the 80W90 lube to a state where it flows easily. Assume the position and crawl under it and inspect again. At this point if there's seepage you can check very closely for any crack. Once you do this, post and we'll go from there. Semper Fi.
