I know I can't do anything about it, but I have this feeling of being ripped off. "They" can cite the economic boom in China or whatever, the flurry of drilling operations here in the U.S.A. are basically none existent. Historically, when oil would hit $20/bbl, the oil field would go crazy here in Louisiana - instant boom, until it dipped back down. Oil passed $20/bbl a long time ago, and basically nothing has happened here. Very, very interesting?

At $1/gal a person can figure that they are getting their respective gas mileage with their vehicle - (20mpg = 20mpg). But now at $2/gal, that 20mph has effectively been cut in half and is now 10mph (relative to $1/gal, present time).

All I can say is OUCH for the poor people else where in the world - UK, Aust, Europe, etc., that are paying >$5/gal.

At 6.53 a gallon, I am hitching up a buckboard wagon, and traveling to and from work via horse drawn vehicle. I can feed a horse for less than a gallon of gas, a day. Now where to bolt the blue oval.

I think the government should get more involved in trying to stabalize gas prices instead of spending their time and our money worrying about who took steroids. How difficult can it be to just put a stiff policy in place for ball players? Our gov. should not have to waste time doing this. The league should use common sense and do it themselves. This is just my opinion.

We can have such discussions, but we should refer to a new thread in the appropriate forum. We have already sent this gentlemans thread off on a couple new tangents.
