Mom and Dad most of the time. My dad and I can jokingly get into some pretty fierce name calling wars.

Mom and Dad. Sometimes I call my dad "Boss" because he is my boss at work. I think it should be the otherway around.

-Matt

P.S. BuiltTough: I thought I was your "daddy"

Female parent = Mom, Ma, grandma, or by her first name.
Male parent = Dad, Pop, Pa, grandpa, or his first name.

Another qiestion (maybe should be it's own thread?) -- How many of you married folk call your in-laws "mom" and "dad?"

Mom, Ma, Dad, or Pa...depending on how redneck I'm feeling that day. On another trail, my dad introduced me to one of his coworkers last summer as his "little girl" even though I was 23 at the time and don't remember him ever calling me that when I actually was little!

Dad is Dad....Mom was mom till she passed away.

My girlfriend still calls her parents mommy and daddy when referring to them, her dad is daddy in person alot and mom is mom in person. I find it cute...

...kinda worried me when she said that she was her "daddy's girl" when we were first going to meet them. O_O Luckily he spared me the "shovel in the garage, shotgun in the closet" speech and instead they love me. ^_^

My parents are and always have been Mom & Dad to me. My in-laws I call by their first names.

My older son has always called his mother Mom, but from the time he could talk until he was around 10 almost always called me by my first name (which never bothered me, it is after all my name). What suprised me how it upset other people sometimes. I can recall several occasions when people told me
I should make him call me Dad. There were also occasions when people that I knew well assumed ( for over 2 years in one instance) I was not his biological father because he called me by my first name.

My mother I call Ma; my father I call Wimpy...not because he's a wimp but because it was his nickname from his younger days from the Popeye cartoon. Remember the little guy that loved hamburgers?

I tell you, this is just weird, when your brother in-law calls YOUR parents "Mom and Dad" I find myself wanting to drive over to HIS parent's place and call them that, to see how HE likes it.

I call my mom and dad -mom and dad-.

I called my In-laws Shirley and Doug, when they were alive.

Near 40--

Simply Mom and Dad....

Missed the In-law question (when I was married)-- NO WAY !!
They didn't even treat thier own daughter nice.. How can you respect anyone and call them Mom and Dad when they act like that ?
