Ford Brake Products vs After-Market Products

Changing the brakes on my 95 Shorty. I am going to replace all pads, shoes, roters and drums. I was planning on going to the dealer for the Ford parts, but I'm wondering if I'm wasting money by not using after-market parts. Are the Ford parts better? What are the better after-market parts? Are there any after-market parts that are better than the factory parts? Opinions Please!

I have owned my 1991 shorty AWD since it was new. Did a brake job two years ago, all with parts Adanced Auto had in stock: Drums, rotors, pads, shoes, hardware, pistons, hoses, etc. I actually believe the brakes are still better today than when I drove it new off the lot. That being said, buy the middle of the road parts at Advanced. Don't buy their cheapest pads. You will save big bucks and they will last just as long.

If you buy factory, Go look at http://www.raybestos.com/usa/products.htm they are way cheaper and better then anything next to full blown racing.

Also if you decide to go Ford or just want a price comparision check out this site www.fordparts.com they usually have some pretty good deals on OEM parts and they are usually below dealer price with delivery.
