Town Car intake and exhaust manifolds fit?
I have a 91 F150 4x4 that the previous owner put a 1990 Town Car 302 into. According to him, it had around 100,000 miles on it and I’ve put on about 5,000 miles.
I finally got around to putting a mechanical oil gauge on it with the original sending unit tee’d into the pipe.
At startup, I get around 40 lbs psi, but when the engine is good and warmed up, the pressure drops to almost nothing at a stoplight in drive and the dash idiot gauge flickers down to the left until I put it into neutral, then comes back up.
I figure on pulling the engine out to see what the bearings, oil pump, pistons, bore wear etc. look like.
If it’s going to take a lot of new parts and machine work, I might think about a truck 302 long block reman.
A long explanation to ask if the Town Car 302 intake and exhaust manifolds will fit the long block truck engine.
