'ello

I've a '59 Thames Van w/ what I believe is a basic Cortina engine.
It blew a Head Gaskit & was allowed to sit before I acquired the Olde Girl & is now locked up.
Need a parts source or an Engine I can substitute for this one & it can be a later or up-dated version I can purchase or barter for.

Hemmings has been rather useless for my needs concerning my '59 Thames, As well as for my M-100's.

Thank'ee though.

If I remember right, the Thames trader came with a 1500 cc crossflow engine,I think that only the earliest cortina mk1's came with 1500cc, after that it was 1300 or 1600cc, anglias also had s/order 1500s for race/rally.I'm going back to my days of youth here so I might be wrong on some of this.I would go on line and try to find the parts in the U.K. exchange rates arent all that bad and parts are away more plentiful.
