Hog Exhaust Problems, a warning for you!

Well let me say that I hate to do this but I bought my fully polished Hog exhaust over a month ago and still have yet to get any help with my defective product. I am not blaming the store that I bought it from because since the installation I have e-mailed and called Hog many times and all I get is lies and more lies. Now they wont return my calls or emails and I am left with exhaust that doesnt fit, and gauges that dont work. You have been warned, Hog Performance customer service stinks!! They will not stand behind their product, now help me warn others before they go through what I have.

1- exhaust does not fit truck, looks like my 6 year old designed the kit!
2- Boost gauge quit working after 2 hours, defective gauge!

Since they are a dealer, did you buy the system through Motorhaven? If so, maybe Ken can "lean" on them a bit on your behalf.

At any rate, the Hog dealer you got them from should be able to offer some customer assistance.

that sucks!! When I bought my exhaust told them that I had a CC, got the new exhaust to short, called back they wanted 70 more bucks for a section of 3' pipe. So I told them to go somewhere, went down to the local truck supply and pick up a section of pipe and two clamps for 30 bucks.

I too have tried emailing them several times just to get some more info on their products. They have never responded.

I suggest you put together a well written professional letter to the BBB. We may all be pleasantly surprised at how quickly your problem is solved. Please keep us posted. Also, if you do this, be sure to layout what you believe to be a fair outcome along with the problem at hand.

how doesn't it fit? Alot of times the cheaper (price)exhaust systems (i would say that is cheap being 480 for a fully polished exhaust, if i'm looking at the right one) they are made for multi fit. Like say selling them to a dealer that is going to install them on a truck and they'll have to cut and tweak stuff to get it just right. Not sure if this is the case with them i have no experience with them, but I bought a "motoblue" exhaust which is really diamond eye or full boar, they're all the same just different names and the owner of diamond eye told me all about it and how he's not happy that people on the internet are selling them as a direct install kit and then sending all the complaints to him.

I dont believe Hog would be considered "cheap" My system is a full 4" fully polished and retails for almost $900. But it does fit like a $200 exhaust from autozone. I will post some pics.........
