2003 4.6 misses

my 2003 f-150 4.6l w/61,000 miles is missing. I have changed the plugs, cleaned the air filter(K&N) ,and I am not pulling any codes. It only misses when accelerating. It seems to do it the worst when I don't let it warm up, but will still do it sometimes. It is also getting terible gas milage. It also has a general lack of power. I don't want to just start replacing stuff for the sake of trial and error , so any ideas would be greatly apreciated .

Sounds like a Bad COP to me. You can try cleaning the MAF, it may or may not help.

You can ohm check them, but a lot of times they only break down when hot.
