In hindsight I see now that the great deal on my f150 scab did not warrant the lack of HP when compared to the 5.4. We purchased an '05 5.4 Expedition at the same time and man do I wish I could take some of it's get-up-and-go and stuff it into the scab. That 5.4 is amazing... sigh. Oh well, this forum is awesome. Talent and experience resinate into each thread. Back to the problem at hand.
I have got about $800 that has no better place to go, so I would like advice towards what mods would give the most immediate bang for the buck while keeping side effects to a minimum. Again the application is - '05 4.6 scab a/t.

What's Up maybe i Can be of some help. I had a 4.6 04 screw
and my XLT was real quick It Had Diablo Predator AeroTurbine Exhaust And Volant cold air Intake
So you need a tunner frist best bang for your buck either Diablo or one of the other guy's tunners then Exhaust and cold air intake

 

How much power increase did you see from the intake and the exhaust? I was thinking about doing these mods first. Also on your tuner did you have it set to the 93 octane tune?

 

do you have a tunner ? That's the first thing you should get.
I run both the 87 and the 91 tune the intake and exhaust helped at diffrent RPM 's and all three working together is more then enough power. I would guess that Horse Power at the flywheel around 340 give our take 6 hp
