Thumbs up Got BIGGER tires/wheelz for my 04' FX4s/crw

Hey all, for those who are looking for BIGGER tires and newer wheels, I have a 04' FX4 Sup/Crew. My info: I am getting the {NEW} Goodyear Wrangler MT/R LT305/70R-17/D2 119P OWL. Rated at 4000lbs load. Measures 34" tall and 12" wide tread print. Putting them on a 17"X8" M B Motoring Rocker wheel #01-7836, {purchase all from Discount Tire Co.}**IMPORTANT** The wheel specs are {Ford recommended} 6-135 with a 25mm offset. 25MM IS THE MINIMUM! 40mm offset is the max. Putting on the Daystar 2" front end leveling kit. Will post pics when completed.

Good year MTR is soo AWESOME....had it on my Jeep Wrangler 35" MTR for rockcrawling jeep thing !

Its awesome wear for daily driver, better off roading and sand but its alrite for mud.

PLEASE post pix!!

I m a bit concern about a bit lack of power due to 34" and also concern about rubbing the frame when lock to lock turn..

Thanks!

Cool!

No frame rub with mine, but wheels are 17x8.5 and 6" backspace.

Easterisland,

Yeah thats heck nice yellow truck!! i remebered saw your pix in other forum and i bellieve that i talked you before thru email about MTR.

Dont you think 4.5" backspacing will be problem ? cuz i m dead on with Teflon 17x9 Chamber #3985 (just came out) w/ 305 MTR but i need $$$ first hehe!

I believ ethatthe 4.5 backspacing will be better than the 6 in terms of rubbing. Teh backspacing measure distance form inside or truck part of wheel to the mounting surface. Smaller number backspacing means inside of wheel is farther from fender well (they stick out more).

Dondon,

How much with this set-up run you. I'm looking for wheels/tires and really like the sound of your combo.

Perfect! I'll have about 2500.00 when I re-deploy home so I'll have some extra for the Volant and exhaust.
