Newbie tire question

I want to make my truck look more aggressive by putting some bigger tires on it. I have stock rims on a 04 F150 Supercrew. How big on a tire can I put on it without rubbing the fenders. I don't know a lot about tires and sizes. Is it possible to have some 30's or 31's on the stock rim without rubbing? If so, what brand tire, because I'm having trouble finding them. Thanks

you can go all the way to a 33", 285/70/17 or 285/65/18. That is about the limit for the stock rims as well

if you have a 17 inch rim, look at bfgoodrich all-terrains. if you have an 18 inch rim look at the nitto terra-grapplers.

other beefier tires are out there but both of those handle regular driving well.

ctfordguy,
do you need to put the leveling kit on the truck for the 285's to fit?

Some people here on the forum have tried it with no bad results. Personally I installed the leveling kit with the 285's
