04 f150 Screw Wrench Light
Got my truck back from the dealer today after experiencing intermittent problems with wrench and engine lights on the dash and going into failsafe/limp home mode twice. Appearantly the throttle body and sensor were shot and had to be replaced, under warranty. Truck only has 6000 miles and a build date of Feb.04 so just a FYI for you all to watch out for. Fix seems to have improved throttle response and rough idle along with a little jerking when going from a stop around a left turn. Could've all been related, who knows. Overall I'm still very happy with the truck and know to expect certain glitches in any new design vehicle. By the way you can clear those pesky lights simply by unhooking the battery cable momentarily, but if you do Ford can't get any info off the computers until the lights are active. Learnt it the hard way. I appreciate all the info this site has for new owners and have already solved one puzzle with my shaking hood due to a n0n-ford bug shield. Keep postin' good info. 2 heads is always better'n one.

My wrench light came on again today. It was in a few months ago for a re-flash for the same light. This time it is acting up more, jerking, loss of power. Going in tonight to get fixed. I wonder what is going on, since I have a recent re-flash. Keep you posted. 04 SCAB 4X4 5.4 10,000 miles. I am still waiting for a rear end kit for 45 mph whine, and the "pad removal" parts to come in.
