Unhappy 97 F350 Door rubbing

The P\S door is rubbing at the front most point when opened; this does not happen when closing. The paint is chipping and then there is that annoying clunk sound. Other than that the door opens, closes and latches fine. What is the proper adjusting procedure to move to door back slightly?

Welcome to FTE. I usually hang out in the diesel forum, and I am certainly not a body or paint guru. But I will offer what I can. As a temporary test, try putting a flat washer in between the door and the hinge at each bolt. If this solves the problem, you can either leave it (I have no idea how long it will last), or you can take them out and loosen up the hinge bolts at the frame. You may have to remove the fender to get to them, I am not sure. There is a little play in the bolt holes. Before you loosen them, mark all the outsides with a magic marker, so you have a reference point. You can then see how much you move it. It also helps to have an extra set of hands when you try it. Good luck with it.
