How can I tell which front springs are what ? I took a 4" suspension lift off my 00' F250 and scored a set of stock springs, but they have a negative arch. And the front end sits kinda low. I'm not sure what the springs came off. I just know they came off some sort of SuperDuty. The only numbers I saw on the springs were 2C34-5310-ADA Does these numbers mean anything to anyone? I've done some searching here, and came up empty. If these numbers don't mean anything, how can I find out their spring rate?
No one else with anything to offer? Thanks for your reply 99f350sd. I'm assuming that my current springs are too weak for my truck. I scored another set of stock springs today and can't tell what the weight rating is on these either. They are supposedly off a F350 diesel, but that's what the last guy said. Anyone with any ideas on how to check these out, before I tear my front end apart again and possibly waste some more time?
Try stopping by your local dealer. If they are any good, they may be able to run the number and come up with a spring rate. Does your source for these springs know where the donor truck is so that you can pull the spring code. I suspect no but I thought I would ask.
i just lifted my 1999 F250 6" and i had the same stupid negative arch thing. they have a funny looking eyelet in the front. it looks like the bottom leaf is wraped around the front leaf in the front eyelet. i didnt like the old ones at all and they give the truck a wierd stance, so i upgraded. dad hasnt yet and tows a 22 foot boat regularly. he loves my trucks stance now though. h is going to do away with his wierd leafs and get some new ones. good luck, i hope this helped!
