I got my TCI Mustang II kit today (after a month long wait) and have a question about axle location. The instructions say to place the center of the crossmember 20 1/2" behind the front axle mount hole. Does anybody know if that allows for the 1 1/4" to move the axle foward ot center the wheels or do I need to set the crossmember 19 1/4" back. Has anybody else installed this kit? Thanks.

 

I did the Heidt's IFS, but a quick check would be... mark the spot that TCI recommends for axle c.l. then measure from rear axle c.l. should be 111-1/2" if it allows for the set forward...

put mine in over the weekend set it at 19-1/4 looks right

My TCI instructions actually gave directions on moving the axle centerline forward 1-1/4". Your right on with the 19-1/4".
