Wink Shavin the chest?

As I go thru life, I try to experiance new aspects....... last weekend, no expection.
I had the pleasure of my first vacation in a cardiac unit.

Those vetern "stress test'ers" out there can relate.........
Those who have not had the pleasure.........
When in with heart problems, you will experiance the dreaded Stress Test.
In this test, they shave parts of you chest in order to get clear EKG readings.......... Therefore........"The dilema"

I see three options...........please partake in my poll......
Nope.....not shaving FTE in my chest.....dots and big squares wont connect right.

Oh, and for those concerned......Beta Blockers...and life is much better.

I had the EKG bald spots last year. Those temporary spots were extremely low on my priority list when I got home. It grew back. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I hope all goes well for you!

There is always a conversation (at least a comment) when the nurse sees my chest & the forest growing on it.

The nurse will say things like: "

I sure wouldn't want to be you when I pull this stiff off"

"Wow ! Impressive"

"Oh My, I better get your wife"

"hmmmm, I can see I am going to have to get the clippers first"

"Are those Pizza Crumbs you're hiding there ?"

I have said:

"So, How do you like me so far?"

"Yes,when ever I go swimming I watch for harpoons"

"Do you have Teflon tape so it doesn't hurt when you rip it off?"

Hey pepster!
Glad to hear that everything is ok... yeah that cardiac unit is a real party palace! I spent a couple days there myself (false alarm thankfully!) and while the rest was nice, the surroundings left something to be desired!

You have been missed (both here and another place we both know) but now that you're back you can catch up on old times!

Remember - any day spent above ground is a good one!

Been there, done that, got the tee shirt.

I also got the lower region shaved for the die test in the leg artery. Sad part of the story is they had some guy nurse do the honors.

Had to have surgery about 10 days later. So I did the shaving myself prior to showing up for the procedure. I'm a do it your self kinda guy and didn't want some random guy messing around down there with a sharp razor. Had to shave the front part of my body from the neck to the knees.

Wife looked at me funny as I sat and laughed at your post. I've also been through the stress tests....twice. It grows back fast enough not to worry. And I was even luck enough to get a real female type nurse with a mighty quick and sharp razor. But now that I've laughed at you ... I suppose the next time I have to be shaved for any reason, it'll be a dang man now!!

I had to have an ultra sound done in a private spot .... and it was a guy doing it. Now ... you talk about needing a giant Valium before AND after. Needles to say .... if my issue "there" perturbs me more ... I'm just going to go to the vet.

What are you doing in a cardiac unit? Those are for people who have a heart, you just wasted that much time of someone's life so that you could find out you have no heart.

Just kidding pep, hope all is well.

The heart test are a piece of cake compared to my one and only prostate exam. The prostate exam answered all questions if I have any homosexual tendensies (sp). That area is one way only. EXIT

Another good medical story

My wife had her gall bladder removed. One day procedure. In at 5 am out by 5 pm. At 5 pm she didn't want to leave. I told her we got to go or you will have to stay overnight. She says Ok but I need help getting dressed. I had to put her panties on and help her get dressed. I'm thinking what has my life come to. I spent my whole life trying to get girls/women (prior to marriage) wife (after marriage) to take their panties off and now I'm helping her put them on.

Wake up call I'm a 41 year old married guy with the right women.

Life is good with the right wife.
