Help Me Please!!! Koolaid Spill On Lariat Floor Carpeting!

I didn't notice until yesterday when I was cleaning my truck, but one of my kids must've have spilled koolaid on the beige back seat carpeting in my Lariat. It had already dried and I tried to use regular carpet cleaner to get it out, BUT IT DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I'm kind of worried that it may be permant. I see stuff on TV all the time for miracle cleaners, so please time me there is something that will work. PLEASE! Can anyone help?

Kooaid on the beige carpet - UGH!!! I'm not sure if anything will get it all at this point.
But the best thing I have ever seen for this type of stuff is called Chem-Dry solution. It's basically a non-soap solution that uses carbonation and effevesence(sp) to disolve and bubble stains out from between the fibers of material. Spay it on and brush what you can then spray some more and let it soak a bit. Make sure to keep blotting as you do this so that the Koolaid does not spread and stain to other surrounding carpet areas.

It used to be available at HomeDepot but now I think you need to contact a Chem-Dry distributor or local Chem-Dry carpet cleaner franchise...but I am sure you can still but the spray cans individually.

Try going Chem-Dry

Best of luck and let us know how it works.

Here's what works for me. I buy that bottle of carpet cleaner that is used with those rentable carpet cleaners. Home Depot has it. Mix it at a little higher concentrate then what is on the instructions in a spray bottle, spray it on and wipe it with a towel, continue to use until clean.

Motesenbockers makes solutions for spills. They make one for proteins stains like blood, koolaid, etc... We use it all the time at home with our 2 little munchkins, and it works great. You can get it at most home improvement stores, like Do it Best, etc... Let me know if you can't find it, as you can go thru our site and get some.

Glass plus. spray on. leave two minutes. Scrub with damp rag. Do procedure again.

If that doesn't work, wet a rage with 50/50 solution of ammonia and warm water. put hot steam iron on wet rag and steam it out. Carpet cleaners use it for tuff spots. try a test spot first. Don't don't do it on the seats.

I use a product from John Deere called Carpet Stain remover - Says it gets out stains, grease, coffee, cola, tar ink, pet stains. Part #TY16403 We have used it in the house and vehicles and it works good. especially if I forget to take my shoes off before comming into the house and get some grease on the carpet.

when you use the Glass Plus, make sure it's Glass Plus and not Windex. Windex doesn't work. Also always use a white cloth for either method so you don't get some unwanted color action.

If it was mine,I would take it in to the Ford Dealership Body Shop or Service Department. They have everything imaginable to take out stains. They detail cars everyday for resale. They probably won't even charge you, especially if you bought the truck from them. However,if you decide to keep trying to clean it yourself I would try Oxy Clean or Resolve. Be careful with whatever you use that it does'nt bleach out color.Good Luck and let us know what works.

I've gotten a variety of stains out of auto carpets and upholstery with Tuff Stuff. It's widely available at auto parts stores, Walmart, etc. It is a foam cleaner and may take several applications on a tough stain. Just follow the directions. Have never had it damage the color on any fabric.

I've always had good luck with a product from Blue Coral called dry clean. Spray it on, brush it around, then vacuum...

You may have to hire a professional to re-dye your carpet
or go ahead and buy a set of catchall's or husky mats
