I talked to a guy who had them on a reg cab shortbed FX4 and he loved them. he said he hadn't noticed anything they wre hurting and he used his truck about like mine(to haul birddogs and quail hunt), maybe not as much as me but about the same type of uses.

Where you getting them from?

They are great. This is not the first vehicle I have run them on, and it will not be the last. Keeps the rims in great shape visually, and there are no adverse effects on braking. Go for em!

This one has been tossed around this forum man ytimes. The only con I am aware of is heat. The shields may not allow the rotors to cool properly and they may warp. I decided against them because of this.

I got them installed on my 04 lariat, and they work great. The new version of the kleen wheels are made out of aluminum and they have a new feature called them turbo vents to keep your rotors cool. Much better than cleaning your wheels every weekend

These were true of the shields when they first came out. They were only metal discs with lug holes cut out of them. The new designs have vents cut into them (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...d/DSC06668.jpg). Also, the covers fit like a glove into the rim. They probably offer no different air flow versus the old steel wheels that were used. I can understand heat being an issue on a performance car that you brake all the time, under load. You have to remember, they do cool from the backside too. This 04 is the fourth vehicle I have run them on, and have had no rotor issues with any of these vehicles.

I dont know about the quality of an ebay shield (I am quite leery of all ebay stuff. Most is imported chinese crap). I purchased the real "Kleen" line. They might be available on ebay, I dont know. Out of all the sites that I found that sell them, they only varied by a few dollars, so no matter where you buy, you should be getting a normal price.

Just a matter of taste, I don't like the way they look. So once the original pads wearout, I going to buy dustless pad!

Ruckus, the ebay seller i'd bought it off, his seller name is midatlanticexhaust, free shipping if you purchase 2 sets or 1 set for $5 shipping. Here's the link for ebay.

www.ebay.com item # 7955957584

Link edited - FTE

Ebay links do not work well at all on FTE. Your best bet in the future is to just include the item #, and anyone interested can look it up.
