How Much to ad on Elec Sliding Rear Window

I have an 04 CC Lariat, and the only options I did not get were the clearence lights, sun roof, and elec sliding rear window ( I do have the manual). When my dog rides in the rear of the CC she likes to put her head out the window, to make a long story short I am checking to see if anyone has done, or knows how much it would cost to convert the manual to electric. Thanks, Levi

I can't TRULY answer your question, but my 04 Lariat is going in shop because the electric motor siezed on the rear slider.
Warranty cost for THE MOTOR ITSELF is $500. If I had to pay for it they say I could get the part for $450. Then they said that it will likely take "a few hours of actual work".

sounds like it could probably start to add up pretty quick...at least based on this.

Sounds like I should have made sure to order this when I bought the truck. I will check with my dealer next time I see them. Thanks for the info, Levi

In order to get the power rear slider on the 04 you also had to get the power driver seat. Can't remember the cost though...I know it was so much that I didn't get it.

Let me know if you want to sell your manual rear slider.

Do on search on the web. There are several third party companies that make power sliders. If I remember correctly they were under $500.

No doubt. I just got my power slider repair done and as it turns out my service manager was wrong about the price. The PARTS were $800 and labor was almost $400. So $1200 for Ford to do it, and that does not eben include the wiring harness.

I had a long discussion with other service managers about Ford "pre-wiring". Used to be that many "options" were prewired with the harness even if the vehicle did not come with the option that needed it. Example would be many late 90's and early 2000 Taurus, Sable, Crown Vic and marquis all had wiring for trunk CD changer. Turns out Ford really cut back in this type of stuff and the cars are built much more specifically.
Dang, I guess that puts a crimp on my power folding mirror conversion.

best of luck.
