How to remove governor on 2001 2.3L Ranger

Hey all,
Does anyone know how to remove the 92mph governor on the 2.3L engine in my 2001 Ford Ranger?
Thanx,
Spencer

the only way to remove it is with a tuner or a chip.
imo, if you want to go faster than the limiter, get a car. it is not worth it to drive fast in a truck and put others lives in danger in the process.

THANK YOU, Con Queso

"Chip" or "Tuner" is at least a start, although specifics would be nice.
And I do have a car - a Crown Vic interceptor - you know, the one with the funny lights on top and that goofy decal that says "Missouri State Highway Patrol" on the door.
So I really appreciate your unsolicited opinion about public safety.

Spence, lighten up, my man, you are among friends - one of whom offered you some good friendly advise. There are many here who can provide specifics to you to any degree you might require.

The Diablo 2 stage is a nice one, lets you run 87 or 93 octane.

I didn't know they had roads down there with a speed limit that high, , just couldn't resist.

BUT. . . .Dailywarren. . . you DID solicit his opinion, when you posted your question.

I do agree with el conquistador, however.
