Codes 411 and 412 are KOER codes related to idle speed control. The computer is not able to use the IAC to get the idle speed high enough and low enough to suit it.
My guess is that you installed the scanner and then started the engine. This causes the computer to run a KOER test instead of the KOEO test that you need to pull transmission codes. In particular, you are looking for "continuous memory" codes relating to the transmission.
Install the scanner, then turn the key from "off" to "run". Do not start the truck. The codes you get from this procedure should be more helpful.
If the O/D light flashes only at highway speeds, and you are experiencing a "rumbling sound" as you lightly press the gas, you may be suffering from torque converter shudder.
Blinking OD light is somewhat common in the mid year Explorers. Just a suggestion, but you might want to try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes, which will reset the codes. Hook it back up and drive it. If the OD light comes back on, then by all means do further diags. Also, it's not good to drive any significant distance with the OD light flashing, as the trans is working extra hard in (cripple/limp) mode.
