Dirty Cloth Seats! Need something that can clean cloth seats, i've got chocolate milk and pancake syrup on mine thanks to a 7 year old.
Any products that you have used that you can recommend?

In the negative sense... I have the light gray cloth. It stains from distilled water... I tried Oxylean, (use it to take stains out of everything in my motorhome). Made a large 'Oxyclean' stain. Tried Hoover steam cleaner.
Now the stains are fainter, but now cover most of the drivers seat. The stains got fainter, and are not real noticable, but they are not gone.
Hope someone has a better solution. I'm looking into seat covers.

I use FOLEX on everything! Worked in past on car cloth seats. Can usually find at Home Depot. (test in hidden place first but it has never ruined my cloth seats or home carpet).

glass plus, not windex. spray, let stand for 2 minutes- wipe off with white rag. very good on carpets in cars and houses also. Been using it for years.

What the readers here need are tips on products that work specifically on the cloth seat covers of the 2004/2005 f150. .

Totally Forget all about what works on your couch or your grandma's love seat or what works on your current vehicle or on a previous vehicle.

Has anyone found any product that cleans well on the 2004/2005 f150 cloth seat covers without leaving a stain or without circling the cloth ??

If you havent tried a cleaning solution on an 04/05 new series F150 then please dont reply. There is something unusual about these seats. The slightest spill creates an unsightly stain and most remedies only make it worse. I sprayed 2 cans of scotch guard on my truck seats the day after i bought it with little observed benefit.

This thread is only about what works to successfully clean a 2004/2005 cloth seat.

03f150man is right, please only our trucks. The oxyclean worked on any other surface, not on these. Ditto the steam cleaner. It did work fine on the carpet, but not on the dang seats.

I remember on a previous stained seat thread that someone found some kind of an oil spray for their seats and it worked (not scotchguard). This was suppose to soak into the cloth and hide the existing stain and seal the cloth from future stains. Does anyone know about this spray???

doggie drool

My dog drooled on the back seat. I didn't think anything of it and let it sit overnight. The next day the stain was still there. I used a rag soaked in warm water with carpet cleaner (Resolve) sprayed on the wet rag to dilute it. I "dabbed" the stain as opposed to rubbing it and the stain came out. I've always held my head out the window when I drool over my new truck, I just forgot to tell the dog.

I use a portable bissell clean machine. I use it on my seats and floors. Looks like new when I'm finished. Only downside is the seats are a little damp afterwards.

I have read a lot of posts where people have used Capture carpet cleaner dust (at Sears I think I saw it at homedepot too). I bought some but have yet to use it. There is also some pre treat spray I saw but have heard nothing about it. The spray probably wouldn't be a good thing to use since it is a LIQUID

I have a hard time also, but my Ford dealer has a product that works well. The last time I went in to get my oil changed there was a big, black, grease spot on the drivers seat. knowing how hard the seats are to clean, I was real worried. One of the shop guys came out with a spray bottle of clear liquid, and the grase was completely gone in a few seconds with just some light rubbing. I don't know what the stuff is, but I bet your dealer could tell you.

We had our home carpets cleaned by Chemdry. The guy left us a 22 oz. spray can of their spot remover and it worked great on my gray cloth seats. When I need more I guess I will have to get my carpets cleaned again.
