Warranty Replacement Sticker

The warranty sticker overrides the original 12,000 mile warranty on tires. They have extended it to 36,000 miles or 36months whatever comes first. You really have to read it to get what they are saying. The accompanying letter explains it better than the sticker itself. On the sticker all they did was to say 2004 and 2005 F150's are excluded from the warranty as outlined in the warranty book.

Yes , I need to read letter. Will do this later/tomorrow. I already filed in glove box. Was letter a good thing for us? I thought warranty extension was a good thing at a glance? Is Ford trying to cover up potential problems? I sure hope not. I plan on keeping this truck a Long Time. Thanks for all the info.

I guess what just gets me about this is that they send a letter explaining how the NEW TIRE WARRANTY works for the F150 Pickup. Then the sticker outlines the OLD policy, but states that the OLD policy doesn't apply to F150 Trucks (except for the heritage model). Why wouldn't they make a sticker that outlines the NEW policy and send that to the NEW BODY STYLE F150 owners? It seems like they are going backasswards on this.
Oh well, I am glad they are extending it however, maybe they finally realized that there are some BAD tires on these new trucks.
BTW. Why is the "Heritage" not included with the new policy? I don't have one, but am still curious.

With the redesign of the truck in '04/'05 F150's, the 17" and 18" rims needed newly-spec'd tires (increased weight of truck and need for better fuel economy) and this new spec could be giving Ford some problems. But extending the warranty should be a good thing, right?
I dunno, just a W.A.G. on my part!

There is another thread on the coverage and cause of the wear problem, whatever it may be? I thought the sticker said the opposite of the letter regarding warranty length, too. Called Ford Customer Service and they agreed. They told me the sticker was wrong, throw it away and put the letter in the book. Warranty has been extended to 3/36 no matter what your book/sticker says.
Now, on to.....why?
