Are all V10's built in Canada
I read some post about V10's being built in Canada. Would being built in Canada have anything to do with Ford not pushing the sale of trucks with V10's. Like higher mfg cost, import penalties, etc. Looks like the only way to get a truck spec'd out like you want with a V10 is to order it.

Not sure what you mean by V10s built in Canada.
The 2005 SuperDuty trucks are assembled at the KTP
Some of the stranger variations are sometimes assembeld in Mexico like the 2001 Platinum edition and I here a rumor that the Yellow Amarillo edition is made there too. Some of the commercial trucks are assembled in Mexico also.
Now we have a guy in here that works 5.4 v8 asembly in Kentucky near the KTP and he has made a post or two that gave me the impression that the V10 came from accross town.
But then wrenchtraveller may know some more specifics on the V10 motors Canadian origins

I have been told that the V10 engine is built in a Ford plant in Canada and that plant is running flat out to meet the demand. As far as the V10 being produced in other plants, I do not know.
I do know that I would rather spend my money on products made by people earning a living wage as in the US and Canada. The Mexican auto plants pay their workers less than the Mexican friut pickers make when they come across to California to pick fruit on a temporary permit. This is what all the Bus drivers in Mexico tell the people on tour and I believe it to be true. Take away the buying power of the middle class and let's see how many auto plants close thier doors for good. Food for thought, Wrench.
