Cool 04 Explorer XLT Rear Axle Leak

17K Miles and a puddle of 90 weight on the floor on my 2004 XLT.

104K miles on my 94 XLT and dry as a bone!!!!!!!

Ford... you are killing me!!!!!!!

Does anyone else see this problem.. Will a replacement set of seals work or is something else causing it..

Excuse the "terseness" but Im frustrated with this car!!!

Thanks
Chris

Yep it was leaking

I just had mine fixed last week for the same problem - also an 04.

Replaced with "upgraded parts" according to Ford.

They have already replaced the rear axle twice before - apparently with the usual crappy parts.

Thumbs down Fixed Axle Leak

Both Axle seals were "torn". I asked how and why this would happen on this car with 17K mi on it and I got the good ol' "deer in the headlight" look.

We'll see if it holds up.. and wait for the next nitnoid to occur.

7 times in the shop for something.

Thanks Ford

anyone interested in a 2004 Explorer XLT (new axle seals!!!)
