Usually you will gain some gas milage with a change to any plug.
Wally world carries motorcraft/autolite (at least for now), parts stores will probably have them also.

[QUOTE=250FordTruck]Also regular cheap copper plugs conduct better than platnum. You just can't leave them in for 100,000 miles. So if they are easy to change use the regular autolite. The advantage of platnium is they last longer and with the time it takes to change plugs on some newer engines it may be worth it.

I was waiting for someone to say that while I was reading. Yep copper conducts electricity better. Some newer engines dont like the old copper plugs, the hotter spark seems to mix up the spark fuel maps and you get a misfire code.
I have an old spark bench tester that uses compressed air when you check the spark bascily telling you whats a good plug and whats a crap plug. I tested a few different brands, dident test the +4's but a +2 was handy. A cheap $1.28 autolite plug kept it's spark the longest. I dont remember all the plugs I tested but, standard bosh, Platnum 1, 2, NGK v groove, Accel shortys, Splitfire, and autolite are the ones I remember.
