gumed up injectors???

howdy
I have a 94 250 with a powerstroke i bought the truck 3 months ago. the pevious owner diced it would be funny to cut a couple of glow plugs off and put them back in the block so that when i was least expecting it thy would fail and fall apart. well to get to my point one did yesterday i dident catch it for a little while then i limped home. mean while the lost compreshion kicked a lot of oil up through my intake. I think i may have gumbed up my injectors. the truck runs fine and has plenty of power on the low end but when i am on the freway over 2000 rpms i have now power at all. could it be anthing els?? are injectors very hard to rebuild and clean? some day i always wanted to put high proformance injectors in my truck is this my big opertunity ?? who makes proformance injectors for the eirlly powerstrokes??

thanks Devlin
P.S. I have replaced all the bad glow plugs now

I'm not quite sure I understand your actual problem. The glowplug(s) broke off inside the combustion chamber? You drove it like that for a while? Now you replaced the broken glowplugs and everything is OK? Please explain.

wow i am at a loss for words here.......... if i understand you correctly you bought a truck from your worst enemy that sabatoged it right before you bought it. this is quite possibly the craziest thing i have ever heard. ok so your glow plugs broke off and got smashed in the combustion chamber and was still running with nothing in the hole. ok so then you replaced your glow plugs it runs ok except at high speed. dont you think you may have a stuck valve, ate up pistons/cylinders and turbo. am i missing something here. why are you still driving it????????????????? if my interpretation is correct it sounds like you are in the market for a new motor not injectors. good luck man please enlighten us a little better with more details.

sounds like, if I read this correctly, that one of the glow plug pieces MIGHT have gotten stuck in one of the valves keeping it open, thus the rough running and lack of power. Should do a compression check to be sure. All cylinders should be close on compression PSI if one is really off then DON'T drive it.

Sounds like the old owner broke off a couple glow plugs trying to change them and got rid of the truck instead of dealing with the problem. I'd think the motor survived if it still has good (same as before ) bottomend power. If it has no midrange - topend then I'd think your turbo didn't survive.
