Motorcraft 4300 vs 4350

just hoping to get a little insite into the world of motorcraft 4 bbls
I have used on and off a 4300 series and had moderate success... I am just wondering how the 4350 compares to it.... I have heard and experienced the 4300 is a carb designed for emissions not real performance.. I found performance to be ok, driveability good, fuel mileage excelent.
How is the 4350 spread bore unit? I have heard that it is in a league of it's own supposed to be better than the 4300.... I know the bolt patern is the same as 4300 just need the spread bore adapter for square bore application.
any unbiased information would be appreciated. thanks.

Same bolt pattern, I went from a 4350 to a squarebore carb and got much better performance.
