Body Work
Well to make a long story short we got some ice down here in Atlanta this weekend and needless to say i ended up doing 360's down the road till I hit a mailbox. After I got home and got chewed out by my dad about not hitting the brake on ice and what not we started to look at the damage. I completely broke my right rear-view mirror (It's hanging on by the wire for the motor that changes its position), broke my right rear taillight assembly, have two scratches starting from the door pillar on back, and the right rear bed side has a couple of good dents. I was able to buff out one of the scratches completely with some wax, the other one is down to the metal in places. We were able to pop some of the dents out a little, but not too much. The taillight and mirror need to be replaced so im going to a junk yard tomorrow to get new ones.
Does anyone have any suggestions on getting the dents out and how to remove deep scratches. The problem with the dents is that the bed is double walled so we cant get to the back of the sheetmetal, and when we are able to pop them back into place they dont have really good hold(with moderate hand pressure they'll go right back). Any help/advice you guys can give would be great!!
Thanks

cbeach, Can't help you with the bodywork. I broke my right sideview mirror off on a downed powerline in a thunderstorm one night. Same thing, hanging by wires. I pulled the detent spring out and superglued it back to the mount. The only functionality I lost is it is not longer a 'breakaway' mirror. Cheap until you can afford better. I've left mine that way.

I was able to pull most of the dents out, and then i had to order a new mirror and taillight from advance auto parts ($120). Damn ice strom. lol
