2150 "sticks" ?
Something in the carb sticks after it's been throttled up high. It acts like a closed choke, but the choke is not closing. When it comes back to an idle it stalls unless I keep the revs. I can tap the carb on the front and it will let go.
Is this the float? Why would the float stick closed after full throttle? What else could it be? Would seafoam or such help?
It does sound like your float is sticking. Could be gummed up with varnish.
These carbs are pretty easy to rebuild. Pick up a rebuild kit (cheap) and a couple of cans of carb cleaner. If you have never rebuilt a carb it's easyer than you think. The key is getting the parts clean. Espeicaily the tiny holes in the carb body and metering block. The carb kit will have instructions.
Take care,
Lee
