For those who program shift points
I am thinking about buying a programmer for my transmission because I am really starting dislike how the transmission will drop down two gears when I accelerate at say 50 m.p.h. I also do not like how high the rpm's get before it shifts from 1st to 2nd. 4500 to 4800 would be more to my liking. Am I correct in assuming that the programming would also affect downshifting? Is anyone else adjusting down. Thanks.

Howdy,
I put the "Banks Transcommand" on my truck a few months ago and noticed stiffer/quicker shifting. It doesn't change the shift points though. It just increases the pressure. I also noticed that the tranny isn't searching through the gears like before.
