"Related Links" on each thread

What's up with the new "Related Links" at the bottom of every thread? The so called "Related Links" usually have nothing to do with the subject matter being discussed! The subject is a glow plug relay and the "related links" are taking you to a site that sells inspection microscopes??!! Still trying to work the bugs out?

Crummy advertising crap! In my 45 years I've seen taxes added and increased as bad as advertising junk! Try to watch my favorite sport and I gotta try to hear"I RAN THE PEPSI NATIONAL BANK FORD CHEVROLET BALL TO THE ORANGE CRUSH MILLER BUD LIGHT YARD LINE TO THE ..."
The volume is off.
God Bless satelite radio - I'll never turn on AM-FM again.

I totally agree. Everything today is all about marketing. I just think that if we have to be subjected to the advertising hype, then it should at least be relevant to the subject matter being discussed.

Hmmm, I paid $15.95 here on this site for a full year of no banner ads. I don't see any of what you all are writing about here. Just the messages.

Really? That must be the key then, certainly worth the 16 bucks not to have this annoying "Related Links". But, you just verified it to me, the "Related Links" is really just advertising, not there to help us at all!

Your lucky Kwik, this is what we have to look at at the end of EVERYTHREAD!!! (well it won't come up like it should) but is is like a google search.

The administrator better step in and tell us what this thing is, and why it is here, and when the will get rid of it!!!! it's annoying as H*ll. Seriously, no one cares what it has to say, we can do our own search of stuff that is totaly off the subject.

One P*ssed of forum user.....

From the looks of 444dieselrod's post, I think the problem might be a setting in your web browser, not a problem with this web site. I couldn't begin to suggest where to go from there, but 444's picture shows code that his browser is supposed to decipher and display certain things - not a jumbled bunch of text like the picture contains.

Kwik, I'm not getting the code like dieselrod is, instaed I get Google "links" to various websites that have nothing to do with what the subject matter is. On this thread there are links to buy a new F-350 with savings and some other marketing info. I wouldn't mind paying the 16 dollars, but now Orezona says he paid it and still gets the ads.

speaking of junk mail... my wife take the "no postage necessary" envelopes and stuffs other junk mail in them, Then mails them back.

They have to pay the postage... She seems to think if everybody did it, the junk mailers probably couldn't afford the postage bills

I dont really mind the Related Links. It costs money to run a site and the ads are what pay for the costs. If you want, pay the 15 or so dollars and get rid of the banner. If you dont want to pay the cash then just ignore it.
