I'm sure that part of this was that the old radiator's capacity had diminished conciderably with scaling and mineral deposits - that sort of stuff. Of course the 4-core and the materials will allow it to perform better then OEM.
There could be some deposits in the old radiator. Also the block is bored out .040" and I have a lot of performance parts in the engine, so I'm pushing 380 HP. This also means more cooling is required.
