Question mustang supercharger on f 250

I am looking at super chargers on ebay but the only thing is that the ones I have seen are for mustangs.I am wondering if it would work on a truck application.Along the lines of the brackets for mounting. My truck is running on a mustang computer and has been converted to mass air.It also is stroked to 393 with world heads.Well any advise or suggestions and or comments welcome.Just wanting a little more power (GO FIGURE)

You'll need to make (or buy) a mounting bracket for your truck. Then all you'd need is some ductwork and you're set. The FMU, bypass valve, and fuel pump will be the same. The head units are all the same, it's just the monting hardware and accessories that are different.

Thumbs up Superchargers

Hey Toddy, I was looking into superchargers as well for my 93 Lightning...I have to say so far I have been most impressed with Kenne Bell Twin Screw superchagers. You dont have to tap the oil pan and install new oil lines since the oil in the charger is self contained and installation requires less work and less componenets to install. The twin screw is also cheaper brand new than a mustang S-type new, but dont take my word for it, go to kennebell.net and check it out!

It runs real strong and I am very pleased with the performance.I converted to mass air .the motor is balanced and have world products heads on it.With bowl work done to them.headers as well.I have no access to a dyno but would love to know what it is putting out.

I would expect that a 393 stroker with World heads has a relatively high compression ratio, at least more that a stock mustang. Do you know what your CR is? That makes supercharging trickier. Also your air flow/fuel flow potential is much higher that a stock mustang. You probably would need bigger injectors, fuel pump, and a ECU tuned for your particular setup, instead of a stock mustang setup off of ebay. It would be awesome, but not necessarily easy. Kenne Bell is a good suggestion because they could likely tailor something to your setup (I know they have a 351 lightning kit) and the twin screw design builds on the low end strength of that stroker.

I am not sure on c/r but i think it is around 9.5 or 9.8.When I had the motor built I talked it over with the shop and told them what i wanted. It is running off a stock fuel system in my truck other than the new adjustable fuel regulator. And the injectors are 24 pound injectors.I want to upgrade my ignition. And do plan to put new fuel pumps and tanks in when spring and warm weather arrives.
